Ø450 × 1000mm chuck, Ø65 × 450mm bar
CNC turning
Turned parts from one-off prototypes to high-volume production. Big work goes on the chuck lathes. Repeat work up to 65mm diameter runs off the bar on twin-spindle, twin-turret lathes.
We turn, mill and grind in our own works in Standish, arrange the heat treatment and plating, and inspect every part before it leaves. One-off prototypes, batches and production runs.

5-axis, twin pallet, 350kg table
Complex milled parts in fewer set-ups. Full 5-axis machining centres reach five faces in one clamping, so features stay true to each other and the part is handled less.
In-house grinding section
Many machine shops send grinding out. We kept it in. Our grinding section is run by Chris Heyworth, who walked through the door at 15 on 1 May 1977 and has been passing the skill on to our apprentices ever since.
One order, finished parts
You order a finished part, not a machined blank. We arrange the treatments your drawing calls for and deliver parts ready to fit, with the paperwork to match.
CMM, PPAP, FMEA, C of C
Every part is checked against the drawing before it leaves. Our quality department has its own investment to match the machines, and the paperwork goes out with the parts.
